Local Merchants

For local merchants, the Groove Card provides a way to build loyalty with the students in their area. Each discount offered by the local merchants is reusable and valid until the card expires. As a result, the local merchants not only see their student customer base grow, but more importantly, they see this growing customer base shop at their store with a much higher frequency.

We give each local merchant a free display rack and set of Groove Cards in order to help them promote their store.

Successful Discounts
Creativity is key. Each store determines its own discount, so have fun with it and think outside of the box! We strongly encourage you to offer a unique and enticing discount in order to pique the interest of the students. Examples of discounts include (but are not limited to):

Combination Deal -Example: Sandwich and a soda for $6	$ Discount -Example: $10 off purchase of $50 or more
Freebies -Example: Free popcorn with the purchase of a movie ticket	% Discount -Example: 15% off entire purchase

A Groove Card is being made in my area - How does my store sign up?
Fill out the Local Merchant Application below to be considered for the Groove Card in your area. Keep in mind that there is only space for 15 local merchants on each card, so the spots will be filled based on the popularity of your store with the students and the quality of your discount.
